Our technology allows us to pair thousands of people with the nearby driver on a daily basis. Keeping people safe is a huge responsibility, and certainly one we do not take lightly.

That’s why we want to help ensure that every DriveU user feels safe and comfortable, no matter your age, gender, or city.

Here are six simple ways to make the best out of your DriveU ride.

Wait indoors before your driver arrives

If possible, stay inside the building until your driver arrives—especially at night. You'll get real-time updates on your driver’s ETA, so it’s fine to wait indoors.

Keep personal details private

Call or message your driver directly through the app—your phone number stays masked. Our in-app chat is moderated for inappropriate language, and you can also share Google Maps links safely within the chat.

Double check the driver

Confirm the driver's photo, name, rating, and licence details in the app match the person who arrives. If something doesn't add up, do not hand over the keys and use the in-app support to report it immediately.

Share your live trip

Share a live tracking link with trusted family or friends—especially if you're travelling alone or late at night—so they can follow your journey and know when you've arrived.

Keep everything on the app

Don't share personal contact details or agree to hire outside the app. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, report it via support. For emergencies, use the in-app SOS and contact local emergency services.

Let us know

Your ratings and feedback help us coach partners and improve safety for everyone. Please rate your ride and share any issues so we can follow up quickly.
